          What should I leave at home?

          • Cell phones

            • In emergency situations, if contact needs to be made call the camp phone.  Likewise, if we have an emergency on our end we will contact you from the camp phone.

          • CD/DVD Players

          • Hand held gaming devices (i.e. – DS, DSI… etc.)

          • Food and Drinks

            • All food and drinks will be provided for meals and snack times.  There is no need to bring extra snacks.  We also cannot hold onto them because of health codes.  If medical reasons require specific food please contact us before hand and fill out a medical form to turn in at registration

          • Dress Code
            • Daily Activities:  Boys and girls may wear jeans, modest length shorts, and full-length shirts. Shorts must be the length of fingertips.
            • Swim Time:  Boys and girls must wear colored t-shirts to and from the pool.  Girls should wear a one-piece swimsuit with a shirt the entire time. Boys should wear trunks & shirts at all times.
            • Worship:  Wednesday night campers have the option to dress up for evening worship if they would like. 
          • Not allowed at any time:  Booty shorts, shirts with distasteful or suggestive slogans, cut-off shirts, spaghetti straps, crop-tops, see through yoga pants and leggings (must be okayed by the STAFF)

          Frequently Asked Questions

          For week-long camps, Sunday registration time will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday closing celebration starts at 415. The pick-up time will be anywhere from 4:15 pm- 5:00 pm. For Kiddie camps, Arrival time is 3:30 pm Depart time is 1 pm

          We suggest bringing $20-$25 for our canteen and camp store! In other circumstances please contact our office administrators.

          Camp Joy provides all the food and drinks. There is no need to bring extra snacks. We also cannot hold onto them because of health codes. If there are any food accommodations, allergies or any questions feel free to contact our office administrators.

          While we cannot guarantee that every camper every year will get to stay with who they want, we will try our best to make sure that all campers get to stay with/by their friends. You can help us out by filling out this information on the registration form. If there is a concern about this feel free to contact our office administrators.

          We have canteen three times a day. The kids can buy items such as drinks, candy, shirts, souvenirs, and more! The prices range from $0.25 to $20. $20 will get your child snacks and drinks throughout the week.

          A completed background check must be turned into camp no later than June 15 in order to stay at Camp Joy. Attached is a form for you to fill out and mail in. The results will be sent to us here at Camp Joy or if you have one less than 1 year old on file with your work or church you can email a copy to us to use.   Click here for Background Check
